about doris

I began practicing yoga in 1998 on the suggestion of a dear old friend. I immediately fell in love with it, and have happily breathed yoga into my life everyday since.

Living, working and studying in NYC for 18 years, I have a BFA in Photography from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, and worked in advertising and as a photographer's assistant. I transplanted myself to Bucks County, PA in the summer of 2004, beginning a new adventure of love, yoga, and unexpected surprises.

I completed 200+ hours of my Vinyasa Teacher Training at Cyndi Lee's OM yoga in NYC, graduating spring of 2005, and have been teaching yoga full time ever since. I followed up with a breath centered Yoga Therapy training in 2007 with Zack Kurland, and a Yoga for Women Cancer Survivors certification in 2009 with Tari Prinster, both at OM. I continue to take an immense amount of workshops and trainings on the East Coast. I am registered E-RYT 200 with the Yoga Alliance, and the International Association of Yoga Therapists.

I enjoy sharing my love of yoga with many, and will be forever grateful to all I have met on my path.

My gratitude extends to my teachers, including ALL at OM, as well as Bobbi Goldin, Dean and Rebecca Lerner, Kevin Gardiner, Jason Crandell, Matt Dreyfus, Sue Elkind, Naime Jezzeny. My studies have taken me to experience John Schumacher, Lizzie Lasater, Judith Hanson Lasater, Seane Corn, Shiva Rea, Manju Pattabhi Jois, Desiree Rumbaugh, Amy Ippolitti, Simon Park, Matthew Sanford, Mark Whitwell, Max Strom, and Leslie Kaminoff (so far!).

I wish to thank my husband, my beautiful daughters, my cats (past and present), many family and friends, and all my students for their incredible inspiration, laughter and love!
