Greatly influenced by Cyndi Lee and B.K.S. Iyengar, my classes encourage a sense of curiosity and playfulness, blending a juicy flow of asanas informed by precise attention to alignment, breath, and Buddhist mindfulness.
I teach basic, intermediate, advanced vinyasa classes, as well as gentle, restorative, chair yoga, and therapeutics.
Vinyasa yoga is breath synchronized movement. From the Sanskrit, "to place in a special way". Alignment based vinyasa has an emphasis on detail and precision in the practice of asana (posture) and pranayama (breath control). But more importantly, aligning your body with your breath and trusting what feels good in yourself.
