"Doris’ clear and skillful attention to alignment is a doorway to deeper practice.  She brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and love to her mat and to her students.

Practicing with Doris is an invitation to dive in and explore yoga (and yourself) from every angle.  In countless ways she enhances my practice and makes me a better teacher.  She is a rare gem in the pantheon of yoga teachers."

~ Sherry Sadoff Hanck, friend/student/yoga teacher

"I began with one of Doris' weekly yoga classes ten years ago.  Very quickly, I knew I wanted more yoga and more Doris.  Her attention to alignment provided relief of my chronic back issues and the strength and confidence to increase from one to three or four classes a week.  Over the years, Doris has given me the foundation from which to grow my practice.

My yoga practice has become an invaluable support during life's trials and joys.  I am always impressed with Doris' ability to offer both compassion and a challenge to each yogi and yogini in the room - no matter his or her level.  Doris is an inspiration physically, emotionally and spiritually."

~ Dr. Amy Gittell, student/pediatrician

"Doris' instruction has led to my yoga practice being deeper and richer than ever before.  Her subtle adjustments have prevented me from sustaining the sort of injuries I incurred in the past.  I always leave the practice feeling physically strong and mentally empowered."

~ Ellie Slott Fisher, student/author

"Working with Doris has had such an impact on the quality of my life.  Her love for teaching, along with her great sense of humor, made private sessions with Doris filled with lots of fun and laughter.  Her years of experience, along with her dedication to her practice, helped me to coordinate my breathing with my movements, also to connect my mind with my body and spirit.  Doris' attention to detail had a major impact on my overall physical

conditioning, improving my diet and enhancing my self esteem.  She gave me the opportunity to work on certain parts of my body to improve my flexibility and increase my range of motion.  Private sessions with Doris is the best possible way to nurture yourself."

"Doris does not just teach yoga - she lives it.  She's the kind of teacher who constantly walks around the room demonstrating, assisting, encouraging and smiling.  Doris has taught me that it's not just about the poses.  It's also about being present, being kind and compassionate, and also being grateful.  I am so grateful for having crossed paths with her.  Practicing yoga with Doris has truly enriched my life."

~ Renee Fields, student/registered nurse

"Doris patiently and knowledgeably developed a personal program to address my individual needs.  She consistently stressed proper yoga form rather than incorrect quantity of poses.  At the completion of our sessions, she provided me with sequential and specific step by step directions for each pose to help me continue and deepen my yoga practice."

~ Pat Hutchings, student/retired elementary school teacher

“I started taking classes with Doris in the Spring 2011.  Prior to attending that first class, I had only taken a few weekend workshops.  I had always felt that I would not be able to do the poses or the meditations.

During my first class with Doris, I felt somewhat awkward.  I did not understand the routine moves and positions.  I knew, though, that now I wanted to try to learn this.  By my second class, I was certain that Doris was something special. I could tell that she was quite knowledgeable not only with regard to the yoga positions, but also to the anatomy and physiology of her students. In addition, Doris was quite sensitive to the physical limitations that some of her students might have.  She treated each of us as an individual and each yoga class as a unique experience in time, with regard to our abilities on any given day.

I feel that I have truly grown in my practice of yoga.  I was totally amazed that (through Doris’ guidance and instruction) I was able to achieve some yoga poses that I deemed very difficult. Yet, at the time they seemed not difficult at all!

So, with all that I have learned and all that I remember, I think I’ve been a very good student.  Since Doris has been a better than excellent teacher, I hope she is proud of what she has done.”

~ Susan Mosley, student/middle school teacher

"The best instructor I've ever experienced is Doris Szeto, who studied at Cyndi Lee's OM Yoga in New York City.  After meeting Doris, I was clued in for all the other classes I tried.  When I tried different classes at different studios that fit my work schedule better, I actually noticed the instructors had poor posture and alignment, and not much flexibility; and I also noticed that other yogis' and yoginis' improper posture and alignment went uncorrected.  I could hear Doris' voice in my head, "Let your head be the last thing to rise," and "Don't let your knee come out past your ankle."

Whether you're new to the scene or an experienced yogi or yogini, if you're looking for a great instructor, look for training and certification information, look for testimonials and recommendations, and try a class or two. See how it goes.  If all else fails, move to Bucks County and go to Doris Szeto's classes."

"I am constantly awed and inspired by the knowledge, dedication, compassion and purity with which Doris teaches.  She brings passion to her teaching because it is her passion.  As a self proclaimed "yoga geek", Doris constantly, day in and day out, strives to grow her knowledge so she can deepen her students' love, understanding and success in their own yoga practices.  She is a masterful teacher who instructs with a watchful eye on each student's needs, adapting to the moment so each student can grow in their own practice.  I highly recommend Doris as an amazing, talented and compassionate yoga instructor."
